A few weeks ago, I saw a Tweet claiming that Elsa from ‘Frozen’ is the first strong female lead from a Disney animated film. Say what? Mulan cut off her hair and saved China from the Huns and Belle, well she wanted more than a provincial life.
Disclosure, yes I used to work for Disney and my childhood love for animation has never ceased. While there are many helpless princesses that had to be rescued, saying Elsa is the first to make her own way, is completely ridiculous, but you know, I should just let ….it….go.
